Alta Reduced Supercharger Pulley Version 2.0 For MINI R53
Alta has designed a two-piece pulley for the R53 MINI Cooper S. The pulley features a stainless steel supercharger shaft coupler with a site for installation. The extremely light aluminium body decreases rotational mass giving increased throttle response. This will give you a 3 - 5 PSI increase in boost and a 15 - 21 BHP gain in power depending on pulley size. Another addition is the over sized belt retainers and grooved teeth, which help to increase belt grip.

15% Pulley - Will give you around a 15 - 17 increase in BHP. This size pulley produces safe and smooth power increases.
17% Pulley - Will give you around a 18 - 21 increase in BHP. This size pulley will produce more low-down boost as the supercharger spins faster from a lower RPM. It is advisable to pair a 17% Pulley with a GRS upgraded intercooler, as heat can become an issue if used at high RPM for a long period.

Do I need to fit an intercooler if I have a 17% reduced supercharger pulley?
Yes, we find that the Inlet Air Temperatures (IAT's) get very high with the standard intercooler. As well as making your MINI engine run safer, a top quality aftermarket intercooler such as the GRS Motorsport version will also allow you to use all of your MINI's potential right the way through the rev range as the ECU will not pull the power back due to overheating.
We also suggest a shorter belt and a good set of colder spark plugs!

Fitting Cost - £140
Fitting Time - Approximately 3-4 Hours
Returns and Refund Policy - Refunds are available within 7 days after delivery for products that are unused and are in original packaging. Special order goods are non-refundable. Products that are damaged in transit to or from the customer can be refunded up to 14 days after the product has been delivered. Products returned to us in imperfect, non-resalable condition will not qualify for refund. Products that are faulty due to manufacturing process are refundable under the manufacturers' warranty for a limited time specified in the manufacturer's terms and conditions. These do not apply if the product has been fitted incorrectly or mis-used, motorsport use could further reduce the manufacturer's warranty. If an order is cancelled or refunded the buyer is responsible for the return of the goods to such address as directed by the supplier and is at the consumer's sole expense. This does not affect your statutory rights.
