She's had a tough life but we won't hold that against her. The early days of Penny's life saw a failed engine and troublesome mapping solution until Lohen took ownership of the vehicle. Now used as a demonstrator and courtesy car, she's running a Manic Motorsport Stage 1 remap to help keep the smile on your face.
After being a reliable courtesy car for a few years, Lohen has taken her off the rental road and made subtle adjustments to make her a worthy show car for the everyday MINI owner. In 2017 Lohen decided to improve upon it's interior with the help of Cobra Seats by having the entire interior retrimmed including dash panels. With a subtle but much improved black leather and grey Alcantara combination, sitting in this 2007 MINI R56 felt like being in a new car again.
In 2018 Lohen partnered with RSI C6 who specialise in MINI styling and carbon fibre. This allowed Lohen to tweak our MINI R56 exterior with a G wing rear fibreglass spoiler and carbon fibre scoop cover that added to its already aggressive styling from its OZ Ultraleggera wheels. This was then finished off by removing the last of the chrome replacing the light surrounds with MINI black variants and updating the MINI badge to the latest design.
Once Penny's styling had been updated, Lohen decided it needed to sound great, and not just sound great on the outside, but on the inside too. To do this, Lohen used a premium Audison audio system that is easy to fit, without requiring too much modification to OEM speaker locations. Featuring new A-pillars to fit separate tweeters to provide crisp highs at ear level, whilst replacing the 2 door speakers with Audison equivalent upgrades, and also upgrading the rear 6x9 speakers for extra bass. This all talks to each other through an Audison 8 channel amplifier that maximises the potential of the speakers for a magnificent sound.
