Denso spark plugs for your MINI from one of the world's leading manufacturers of automotive components. The colder uprated iridium spark plugs are suitable for Generation 1 MINIs including R50, R52 and R53. When driving modified fast road MINI’s it is advised to use performance spark plugs.

Delivery and Shipping

Delivery charges are based on weight (kgs) within the UK and Europe, International orders are based on volumetric weight and may be more than what you pay at checkout. Charges are the same when ordering online, by email or over the phone and include VAT. Items if in stock are dispatched same day (Before 2pm) and sent on a next working day service and includes insurance cover. See our main section below for more details.

Sample Shipping Costs

UK

Orders under £200 are sent by a DHL Express service that is usually a next day service and costs start from £12 depending on weight. 

Orders over £200 are sent for free by a DHL Express service that is usually a next day service

Europe and Rest of the World

For European and rest of the orders, parcels are sent by DHL and costs start from £12 up to 30kg per box. Delivery time takes between 3-7 working days depending on country.

The cleint is responsible for all import duites, taxes and processing fees which are payable to the carrier or carrier agent prior to delivery.

 

Returns & Refunds

Returns

Refunds are available within 7 days after delivery for products that are unused and are in original packaging. Special order goods are non-refundable. Products that are damaged in transit to or from the customer can be refunded up to 14 days after the product has been delivered.

Refunds

Products returned to us in imperfect, non-resalable condition will not qualify for a refund. Products that are faulty due to the manufacturing process are refundable under the manufacturer's warranty for a limited time specified in the manufacturer's terms and conditions. These do not apply if the product has been fitted incorrectly or misused, motorsport use could further reduce the manufacturer's warranty.

If an order is cancelled or refunded the buyer is responsible for the return of the goods to such address as directed by the supplier and is at the consumer's sole expense. This does not affect your statutory rights.

What spark plugs do i need for my MINI?

IK20 - To suit the R50 models which are standard and also modified. Will also suit standard R53 models.
IK22 - To suit R53 models standard or with slight modifications such as a uprated supercharger pulley.
IK24 - To suit modified R53 models running around 220 - 240bhp.
IK27 - To suit highly modified R53 models. Such as uprated camshaft, Injectors, Big Valved Head and a remap.

Using Denso Iridium spark plugs in your MINI Cooper S or JCW will improve all aspects of performance from acceleration and throttle response to idle stability and mileage. This is thanks to the world's smallest 0.4mm iridium centre electrode.

The tip of the spark plug is made of iridium as this is one of the strongest and has one of the highest melting points. This enables Denso to make a finer, thinner tip which gives the spark plug a concentrated spark and therefore making it more efficient and less likely to misfire. In other words, the slimmer the electrode, the more concentrated the potential, and the stronger the electric field becomes, reducing jump spark voltage. This results in constant combustion in all areas of driving, and improved starting and acceleration.

The ground electrode has a tapered cut. The streamlined taper makes the air-fuel mixture flow more smoothly, guaranteeing steadier ignition. A U-shaped groove has been set into the inside of the ground electrode also. This creates the space volume necessary for formation of the spark nucleus.

Available in various heat ranges, if you would like a higher heat rating or your MINI is more powerful than standard or you feel your driving style is more demanding than normal please call us for details and we will be able to choose a heat range with you. Alternatively if you know which Denso spark plugs you are after you can select it yourself by the IK number.
