Lohen Dyno Day A Huge Success

Lohen Dyno Day A Huge Success

The Lohen Dyno Day saw the launch of the Lohen Dyno Leader Board and with a spot at the top and serious bragging rights available, show cars, Lohen’s demonstrators cars and a BBQ, the seeds for a good day at Lohen’s HQ in Eccleshall, Staffordshire were sewn. Over 80 people turned out to tuck into the BBQ, shop, socialise and watch the 30 cars on the Lohen Dyno. The Lohen car park was overflowing with MINI’s of all types.

The day kicked off at 9am with Lohen Dyno regular Tony’s R53. Tony saw some good gains from last year after his recent modifications and a respectable 193 BHP and a sixth place on the supercharged MINI leader board . This followed by an array of whining R53 that saw Liam’s R53 GP sat at the top with 232 BHP until the very last run of the day when Shaun blew all the competition away with a 261 BHP run. Breaking for lunch and a well earned burger, hotdog and sides and a touch of shopping saw Jason Mills’, Modern MINI Best R56 Cooper S, on top of the turbo charged MINI category with an impressive best run at 288 BHP and 429 Nm torque. After lunch, despite impressive challenges from Florain’s Stage 2 remapped auto R56 that produced 286 BHP and 414.9 Nm torque, Jason was still on top before been pipped to the post by Jake’s Lohen-tuned Stage 3 R56 producing a staggering 288 BHP and 443 Nm torque. It later transpired that Jake had left his car in mode B so, with one more power mode to go, could the difference have been greater? Running on the Dyno was also a James’ F56 sporting a Remus valved cat back exhaust, de-cat, intercooler and importantly a development Manic Motorsport tune. No figures to report at this time but needless to say it was impressive and Lohen will be releasing this tuning as soon as it becomes available!

The Performance Company and Cobra Seats supported the Lohen Dyno event show casing their impressive R53, R56 and F56 all sporting beautiful Cobra seats and Remus exhausts plus a Liberty Walk body kit for the R56 and some other exciting bits. The day wasn’t all about power, the stance guys showed up too. Recent Modern MINI Best One/Cooper winner, Ben, was there too with a few like-minded modifiers. Check out the www.lohen.co.uk for a full list of runners, modifications and power figures. We also uploaded a gallery of images here . The Lohen team enjoyed the event and thank everyone who supported the day with a special thanks to the guys at Cobra Seats and The Performance Company for giving up their time.
