Delivery charges are based on weight (kgs) within the UK and Europe, International orders are based on volumetric weight and may be more than what you pay at checkout. Charges are the same when ordering online, by email or over the phone and include VAT. Items if in stock are dispatched same day (Before 2pm) and sent on a next working day service and includes insurance cover. See our main section below for more details.

Returns
Refunds are available within 7 days after delivery for products that are unused and are in original packaging. Special order goods are non-refundable. Products that are damaged in transit to or from the customer can be refunded up to 14 days after the product has been delivered.
Refunds
Products returned to us in imperfect, non-resalable condition will not qualify for a refund. Products that are faulty due to the manufacturing process are refundable under the manufacturer's warranty for a limited time specified in the manufacturer's terms and conditions. These do not apply if the product has been fitted incorrectly or misused, motorsport use could further reduce the manufacturer's warranty.
If an order is cancelled or refunded the buyer is responsible for the return of the goods to such address as directed by the supplier and is at the consumer's sole expense. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Lohen's B48 Config 1 Crate Engine offers a complete engine rebuild for MINI Cooper S and JCW owners whilst also upgrading the pistons to stronger forged Supertech variants. The Config 1 will give your B48 MINI engine better reliability and allow you to drive your F56 harder for longer making it worthwhile if you track your F56. If your F series Cooper S or JCW is remapped, then going for a Config 1 build with upgraded valves will help protect your engine from the extra heat that is created reducing the risk of the engine or valve failure.
Supertech Forged Pistons for the F series MINI are strong and lightweight, using enhanced 4032 alloy Supertech pistons that have been able to withstand up to 42psi of boost without any problems. Supertech pistons feature a 'phosphate dry lubricant' coating that protects the piston rings from 'micro-welding' and improves lubricant on the cylinder area (Click here to find out more about micro-welding).
The Supertech Forged conrods we supply in this Config 1 package have an H beam construction and are made from very high quality 4340 alloys, these conrods are very high wearing and will withstand much higher power levels than what the standard engine can handle.
The Supertech exhaust valves included in this engine build package are very heat resistant offering better durability and reliability for tuned B48 engines. The Supertech exhaust valves provide optimal gas flow and due to being slightly lighter than OEM, offer a performance improvement too.

Please note -
- Customers original block, head and original parts are re-used unless listed
- Crate engines are delivered timed and dry of fluids
- Crate engines are delivered without ancillaries
- Your rocker cover and sump must be supplied
- Additional charges will apply if the original parts that aren't listed as replaced need replacing (such as crank, head, block etc).
Lohen Crate Engines are supplied as timed-up bare units without a sump, oil pump, rocker cover or any other bolt-on ancillaries. The engines are therefore shipped dry and require final assembly and fluids prior to installation and start.
If required, Lohen can supply a fully built engine for an additional charge. We also offer professional in-house installation and running in service at our workshop.
Exchange Donor Unit Surcharge
Lohen will apply a surcharge to every engine sold unless a donor unit is supplied and it is deemed to be in rebuildable condition.

Lohen offers professional, in-house fitting for all products at our workshop in Eccleshall, Staffordshire. Here are the important things you need to know:
Fitting Cost - £1500. Includes installation and running on the dyno.

Lohen Recommends - Inspecting clutch and flywheel operation while the engine and gearbox are out and replacing them as necessary. It's also an ideal time to add a differential for a performance upgrade. Consider the Quaife ATB for road and track day use.

Why do we apply a surcharge?
A surcharge is charged because Lohen reconditions and re-use certain components, such as the head, crank and crankcase. We do this to reduce costs to customers and components will only be used if they pass strict inspection criteria. Any wearable components are completely replaced in the upgrade process.
How it works
The surcharge applies when a donor engine is not supplied back to Lohen or the condition of the donor engine is deemed by Lohen to be beyond re-buildable (i.e. major damage to the head, crank, block bores or external parts of the engine.)
Once the donor engine is received Lohen will assess and measure the unit for tolerances and issue any appropriate refund of the surcharge within 7-10 working days. Should certain components within the donor engine be deemed unusable the surcharge will be only partially refunded. Please contact the sales team for full information.
