The Lohen adjustable drop links are a precision-machined, lightweight, aluminium upgrade over the standard MINI drop links. They are available in a range of colours and allow you to make adjustments without removing the drop links from your MINI F55, F56 or F57.
Following our step by step tutorial below will help you fit our Lohen F56 front drop links to your MINI. Only a small number of tools are required and the job should take no longer than 1-2 hours.
Tools Required
- Lohen F56 front adjustable drop links
- 17 mm spanner
- 18 mm spanner
- 17 mm socket
Removing OEM Drop Links
Step 1 – Remove the front wheel to gain access to the front axle.
Step 2 – Use 17 mm socket to remove old nuts.
Step 3 – Remove the top of the drop link from the top of the shock absorber leg and the bottom of the drop link from the anti-roll bar, and then place to one side, as this part is no longer required.
Installing Lohen Front Drop Links
Step 4 – Insert Lohen drop links into location of previous OEM drop links.
Step 5 – Apply washer to top and bottom of the drop link as shown in the images below
Step 6 – Add nuts and re-tighten to 42 Nm with a 17 mm socket on the nut and 18 mm spanner on the rod end. You have now successfully fitted your Lohen drop links. The drop link is set to OEM specifications.

Adjusting Lohen Front Drop Links
Step 7 – To adjust, use a 17 mm and 18 mm spanner and rotate locknut and drop link.
Step 8 – Twist rod with hand
Step 9 – Tighten nuts as per step 6 and you have now successfully fitted and adjusted your drop links.
